End of October...

While I'm not really sure where this month went...it seems like it was just yesterday that we were starting October...& I had goals that I never even came close to reaching this month!  I am trying to finish up a few things & one of them was a challenge that I committed to on October 1st...

As part of this challenge, I want to share with you how Stampin' Up! has made a difference in my life!  Well...in addition to giving me the option to stay home & build a business that I hope to be able to continue to do when my husband & I start a family, Stampin' Up! has helped me realize a few things about my life!  Every day I am learning more about myself...where I excel, what my challenges are, & how I can improve myself and my quality of life!  I am learning that life really is about asking for help when you need it, helping others when you can & appreciating what you have...not what you wish you had.  I am beginning to learn the difference between 'real' friends and acquaintances...and where they each fall in the 'big picture'. 

In addition to helping me realize things about my life, Stampin' Up! has also helped me unleash a new 'creative side' of myself!  I have been a scrapbooker for many years now & had only dabbled in rubber stamping.  While Stampin' Up! has scrapbooking supplies too, I have gained a new appreciation for rubber stamping & small projects such as greeting cards!  The ability to learn new techniques & try them on something smaller than a scrapbook page has made me more likely to try something new!

Speaking of trying something new...I'm also slowly learning to step outside my comfort zone!  While I still struggle to find new people & make new friends, I am working on ways to do just that!  I have joined a few new groups & planned a few activities that will reach a more 'public' audience, that I would have shied away from in the past.  Thank you for helping me gain the confidence to do so.  I am looking forward to seeing what I can accomplish outside of my comfort zone!

Soo...it's been a little while...

...since I posted last. :(  Sorry about that!  Until I get in a regular routine, I am the kind of person that thinks about doing something & get distracted by something else...oh, shiny!!  Then when I think about what I was going to do, I can't remember what I was going to say or make or write or do...lol  On top of that, my hard drive crashed on Friday & I spent all weekend trying to recover data & pictures from the last 4 yrs...so this week has been extra busy with the stuff that I should have been doing over the weekend ...in addition to the stuff I already had planned for this week...

I'm trying to get a 'regular' schedule set-up for what to post on what days, etc...but I haven't gotten any feedback from anyone as to what they would like to read about!?!

I can tell you today that I am very excited about my Christmas Card Club for tomorrow!!  If you're close-by, you should stop in to check it out!!  There are a few options for the Club!

• You can make your own cards (with your own supplies) & get ideas from those who are here
• You can make copies of the samples I have on display for only $2.00 each (envelopes are available at an additional cost)
• You can pick a card that you like & order the supplies to make those cards.  As a gift to you for ordering the supplies, I will cut your cardstock for you when it arrives & let you know when it is ready to be picked up.  Then you can pick it up & work on it when you want, or you can join us at the next Christmas Card Club & work on them there!
• You can also pick out a card that you like & order completed cards!!  Prices vary, depending on the style of card you choose & how many you need, but envelopes are included too!  You can even buy a custom return address stamp or have return address labels made if you choose!!

Creativity & the dentist...lol

So...I went to the dentist yesterday to have a tooth pulled...not fun!  When I got home, I wanted very badly to be creative...but I had to rest, so I watched a couple movies instead.  This morning when I woke up, I felt like I had been punched in the jaw...so I've been taking it easy...sitting at the desk, catching up on e-mails & things on-line, etc.

But now...I think I'm ready to be creative!!  I've had plenty of time to think about all the cool things I want to make...now I just have to put them into action!  Wish me luck as I get to work...and I will post some pics soon!
