Lemonade, Anyone? Tuesday Tutorial!

Spring is coming & summer will be here before we know it!
Are you ready for that sweet summertime lemonade?!?
I know I am!

In the mean time, I had to share this tutorial for a great way to make 8 great cards to welcome summer! Send these to your 8 best friends & keep in touch during the summer when everyone gets busy!!

First, take a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 Whisper White Cardstock & stamp with one of your favorite stamps all over it! I choose the lemon stamp from the Sale-a-bration promotion that is going on until March 31st. (You can get the set that this lemon is in for FREE when you purchase $50* in other products! Ask me if you need more information. Supply list is at the bottom.)

Then I colored my lemons with the Daffodil Delight & Old Olive Blendabilities Markers!
(These markers were discontinued today due to quality issues, however I can show you some alternate ways to color your lemons...or any other image you desire!)
Now that our Blendabilities Markers are no longer availaibe, I will be holding a class to show you a few coloring techniques you can do with our other great products! If you want to get into this class before it's full, RSVP now!

Here's what my fully colored sheet of lemons looked like!

Cut your 8 1/2 x 11 paper in half. You will have 2 sheets that are 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Cut those 2 sheets in half, making 4 sheets that are 4 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Cut those 4 sheets in half to make 8 pieces that are 2 3/4 x 4 1/2.

Here are my 8 pieces!

Decide on a layout...I matted my lemons on a piece of 3 x 4 3/4 Rich Razzleberry Cardstock with a 2 x 4 1/4 strip of Old Olive Cardstock punched with the Ornate Tag Topper Punch behind it. Wrap some Daffodil Delight Seam Binding around & tie it in a knot through the hole...& pop up on Stampin' Dimensionals! The card base is Coastal Cabana Cardstock stamped with the 'love life' greeting from the same stamp set.

I added 3 Rhinestones in the corner & then decided to make them even better & colored them with the Old Olive Blendabilites Markers!!!
(Have a told you how much I LOVED MY BLENDABILITIES?!? Out of all of my packs, I only had 1 bad marker...& I have every color. But I do understand & appreciate Stampin' Up! making the 'hard choice' to discontinue this product line & look for a more reliable source for a similar product in the future!)

I certainly hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If you did, please leave me a comment. If you didn't, please also comment & let me know what I could do better!! ;)

If you have any questions about this project, just ask!!!

Thanks for stopping by & you can see all the supplies used in the list below.
